What is The
Sun Club?
The Sun Club, Inc. was established in 1989 as a
non-profit organization operating a recovery and fellowship hall
recovery resource center in Ketchum, Idaho. In February 2005, The Sun Club
opened a second fellowship hall in Hailey, Idaho.
The Sun Club is
not affiliated with any recovery group, organization or religion. Our
mission is simply to provide individuals and local 12-Step groups with an
accessible drug and alcohol-free safe haven:
►
A place for group meetings,
individual counseling, and group events.
►
A resource center and
library, well stocked with books, videos and 12-step program literature.
Currently we
provide these facilities for more than thirty 12-Step meetings per
week. These groups include: Alcoholics Anonymous, Adult Children of
Alcoholics, Al-Anon, Alateen, Cocaine Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous,
Overeaters Anonymous, Co-dependents Anonymous, as well as several
out-patient and relapse prevention meetings hosted by local professionals or
treatment centers.
Who's in
Charge?
The Sun Club is managed and maintained through the voluntary service of its
board of directors, its members and the voluntary service of members of
groups that use the facility. There are no paid employees. This
allows us to limit our expenses to rent, insurance, utilities, literature,
equipment, furniture and supplies for maintenance and administration. The
Sun Club is funded through donations, member dues and meeting space rent.
Approximately
25% of our overhead is raised as meeting space rent by sharing the
contributions that are made to the individual groups using the facility,
leaving the balance of our expenses dependent on membership dues, personal
or business donations and local fund raising events.
Yes, it is
deductible!
The Sun Club is a 401C3 Non-Profit Corporation, so dues, contributions of
cash, supplies, furnishing or equipment are tax deductible. (Tax ID#
